On behalf of the Australia and New Zealand Gastric and Oesophageal Association, I would like to invite you to the 2020 ANZGOSA Scientific Meeting in Christchurch.

The theme of the meeting is Quality of Life after surgery and the meeting will be of major interest to all surgeons and allied health professionals treating acute and elective Upper GI conditions including metabolic (bariatric) surgery, Upper GI malignancies and associated topics such as audit and data collection.  The aim of the programme on 24 and 25 August, together with half day hands on masterclass and workshops for allied health professionals on Wednesday the 26th, is to meet the needs of those working in provincial and major metropolitan centres.

As reported in our news recently Christchurch is the destination to visit in New Zealand in 2019, US news organisation CNN says: "The innovative, vibrant and eco-and people-conscious city that has emerged from the rubble of the 2011 earthquake seems to be the main reason for its inclusion in the list of 19 places world-wide to visit this year."

The meeting will be very family friendly environment with a host of activities available within the city and locally.

Please join us for what promises to be a very enjoyable and educational meeting.
